ABOUT ME

I am Maya Hutagalung, a Charlotte-based artist. My work focuses on representing nature, especially where the relationship between humans and our environment can be seen. Maya has spoken at the PIT Journal 2023 Conference on the value of using up-cycled materials in artwork. Maya currently works for the Niner Times student newspaper.

I use acrylic paints, but also digital media, pen, and paper.
